Jakande Sensitises Residents on Commissioning of Lagos Industrial Leather Hub

The Chairman of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Hon. Seyi Jakande, has announced the highly anticipated commissioning of the Lagos State Industrial Leather Hub, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, 23 August, 2025, urging residents to participate in their number.

The significant event will be co-hosted with Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe, Chairman of Mushin Local Government, and features the esteemed presence of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, CON, alongside Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Located in Matori, Mushin, the Leather Hub is a pivotal initiative aimed at empowering local artisans and revitalizing the leather sector throughout Lagos State.

Hon. Jakande emphasizes that the facility will provide crucial resources and training opportunities, enabling artisans to hone their skills and improve their product quality.

This aligns with the government’s commitment to fostering creativity and craftsmanship while boosting local economic development.

In his message to the community, Jakande encouraged all residents to participate in this momentous occasion at Daily Need Road, Matori Industrial Layout, Mushin.

He stressed the importance of investing in local artisans, stating that such initiatives not only strengthen the economy but also create job opportunities within the community.

With confidence in the support of the state Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, the Odiolowo-Ojuwoye Chairman envisions the Leather Hub as a thriving center that will serve as a catalyst for innovation and prosperity in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA and beyond.

Residents are invited to join the celebration and witness the start of this transformative project, which promises to foster a brighter future for the community.
