The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Honourable Seyi Jakande, on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, concluded his public campaign for Saturday, 12 July, 2025 council elections with electrifying street walk, reports thegazelllenews.com
The vibrant mega rally lifted the spirit of the residents as they joined the campaign walk singing and dancing to the beats of the accompanying drummer boys.
The event kicked off from Ayantuga Street and covered all nine wards within the Local Council Development Area (LCDA), showcasing an unprecedented display of unity and purpose among residents.
Leading a formidable team that included: the member representing Mushin Federal Constituency I in the House of Representatives, Hon Adeyemi Alli; the Chairman of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Olusola Ajala; the member representing Mushin State Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Nureini Akinsanya; and the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon Lekan Fatodu, among other party leaders in attendance, Jakande stepped forward to embrace his constituents, reflecting the grassroots engagement ethos that has defined his campaign.
The atmosphere was electrifying when JAKO and some of his supporters earlier gathered to receive blessings and motherly prayers from the esteemed Abiyamo Alhaja Abimbola Jakande, his mother, solidifying the rally’s spiritual essence.
Residents turned out in droves for what became a significant moment for the community, gathering to express their unwavering support for the APC chairmanship candidate. Some of the party members and residents, who spoke to thegazellenews .com during the campaign, said Seyi Jakande is the candidate to beat in the forth coming local government polls, as other candidates contesting against him are just going to be also runs.
According to them, Jakande knows the terrain of the LCDA politics as he is an experienced politician.
They said that having served under the outgoing Chairman, Rasak Ajala, he has all the qualities to take the LCDA to another level’
They also added that the wonderful performances of Ajala should continue with Jakande coming on board as the LCDA boss.
“Seyi Jakande is the right man for the job, other contestants in the poll are going to contest just for contesting sake,” they said.
