The Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Dr Abdul Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, on Thursday, 6 November, 2025, inaugurated 900 grassroots political coordinators to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held in Ikeja, Adediran said the initiative was self-funded and aimed at ensuring total victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.

He noted that while the Lagos4Lagos Movement had existed for nine years, it had now been repositioned to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and mobilise support for Tinubu’s second-term bid as well as for APC candidates across all levels in Lagos State.

“We know that campaigns have not started, but tomorrow starts today,” Adediran said. “What we are doing now is to put in place our structure across the 376 wards in Lagos State.

“We will work to ensure APC’s victory in 2027. Very soon, we will begin another ward tour to spread the message of President Bola Tinubu’s achievements across the state. The time to work is now.”

Adediran explained that the newly inaugurated structure comprised a seven-member executive team in each of the 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas of the state, 10-member ward committees, and coordinators representing non-Yoruba-speaking communities across the state.

He reaffirmed his intention to contest the Lagos governorship election in 2027 but pledged his continued loyalty to the APC, assuring that he would support whoever emerged as the party’s candidate.

The APC chieftain expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s economic policies were beginning to yield results, citing local fuel production by the Dangote Refinery and renewed efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s petroleum industry.

In his goodwill message, the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, represented by the party’s Youth Leader, Seriki Murtala commended Adediran for his grassroots mobilisation efforts.

Ojelabi urged the coordinators to prioritise voter registration and the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 elections, adding that the party’s target was to secure at least three million votes in Lagos.

Also speaking, former PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Alhaja Safurat Abdulkareem, lauded Adediran’s inclusive approach and encouraged members to work in unity for the success of the APC, saying “It is time to work. We are not going to work only for President Bola Tinubu; we will also work for Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran”.
