Just In: Tinubu Set To Get Highest National Honour As FG Unveils Inauguration Programme

President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be conferred with the highest national honour on Thursday, 25 May, 2023 by President Muhammadu Buhari.

It is part of the Inauguration Programme unveiled on Thursday, 18 May, 2023, by the Chairman of the Transition Council and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha.

While Tinubu will be conferred with the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR); the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima will be conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).

On Tuesday, 23 May, 2023, a Regimental Dinner in honour of President Muhammadu Buhari will take place while on Wednesday, 24 May, 2023, the Valedictory Federal Executive Council (FEC) will take place.

A public lecture and Inauguration Jumat Service will take place on Friday, 26 May, 2023 while the Inauguration Lecture which will be delivered by former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta will take place on Saturday, 27 May, 2023, as well as the Children Day parade at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

The Inauguration Dinner and Church Service take place on Sunday, 28 May, 2023 while the Inauguration Parade and the handover ceremony take place on Monday, 29 May, 2023.
