The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has commended the Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Supreme Council of Nigerian Muslims, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III for his exemplary leadership in promoting peace and unity across Nigeria.

The group in a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Khalil Bello said: “As the holy month of Ramadan approaches and the Sultan marks his 10th year on the throne of the Sokoto Sultanate, a highly influential traditional institution in West Africa, KACRAN recognizes his significant contributions to national cohesion.”

The group highlighted several key achievements of the Sultan’s leadership to include:

“Reunification of Nigerian Muslims: The association acknowledged the Sultan’s pivotal role in bridging a decades-long divide among Nigerian Muslims, fostering unity within the Muslim community.

“KACRAN noted the previous fragmentation of the community, which led to differing dates for Ramadan commencement and Eid celebrations, and praised the Sultan’s efforts in achieving near-universal alignment on these important religious observances.

“Strengthening of Jama’atu Nasrul Islam: KACRAN recognized the Sultan’s success in revitalizing Jama’atu Nasrul Islam, establishing it as a leading Islamic organization in Nigeria and beyond.

“Fostering Inter-regional Harmony: The association emphasized the Sultan’s work in building bridges of understanding and mutual respect between people from the northern and southern regions of Nigeria.

“Principled Leadership: KACRAN lauded the Sultan’s consistent advocacy for peace and unity, his willingness to offer counsel on matters of national importance, and his commitment to fairness and justice for all Nigerians, regardless of religious, ethnic, regional, or political affiliations.  They also noted his avoidance of political disputes, which has earned him widespread respect.

“Openness to Counsel: The association acknowledged the Sultan’s receptiveness to advice aimed at promoting peace and harmony in Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, it called on  other traditional rulers and political leaders to emulate the Sultan’s exemplary leadership in fostering peace, understanding, and unity among Nigerians, while extending its heartfelt congratulations to the Sultan on his decade of remarkable service and prayed for his continued success in the years to come.
