The Lagos Metropolitan Council of the Order of the Knights of Saint Mulumba Nigeria has unveiled a ₦2 billion Endowment Fund and Charity Initiative aimed at strengthening its charitable activities and sustaining its mission of service to humanity.
The initiative was unveiled on Saturday, 26 September, 2026, during a ceremony that featured a Holy Mass and was themed “Investing Today, Sustaining the Mission, Empowering Generations.”
According to the organisers, the endowment is designed to provide a sustainable financial foundation for the council’s charitable programmes while supporting its continued service to the Catholic community and wider society.
The event brought together members of the Knights of Saint Mulumba, Catholic faithful, community leaders and other distinguished guests.
Among the dignitaries who attended were: the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State governorship candidate, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; his running mate, Mrs Damilola Sonayon-James; Director-General of the PBAT-KOH Campaign, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; Deputy Director-General, Hon Rasaq Ajala; and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon Jimi Benson, among others.
