The Central Coordinator of the JAGABAN-JANDOR 2027 Movement, Lady Funke Ijayekunle, has announced that stakeholders of the group will fund the procurement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination forms for Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.

Ijayekunle made the announcement on Wednesday, 22 April, 2026, at Liberty Place, Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja, Lagos, during a stakeholders’ engagement,
She explainied that the decision followed consultations across the movement’s structures after the APC released its primary election timetable and the cost of nomination forms.

According to her, the resolution to fund the forms collectively reflects the group’s commitment to Jandor’s candidacy and confidence in his leadership capacity.
“Today, I formally announce the Stakeholders’ Funding Initiative of the JAGABAN-JANDOR 2027 Movement, a collective resolution of our members across all strata, driven by an unwavering conviction in the competence, character, and capacity of Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran JANDOR to lead Lagos State,” she said.
She explained that the initiative was both strategic and symbolic, noting that it represents ownership, commitment and active participation by members and supporters of the movement.
Furthermore, Ijayekunle disclosed that contributions had already begun flowing in from supporters across the state, particularly young Lagosians, who made donations ranging from N2,000 to higher amounts within hours of the announcement.
“Between the hours of 10:00 a.m. this morning and now, we have seen responses from our structure and supporters across the state, mostly young Lagosians, committing their hard-earned resources,” she said.
She stressed that the fundraising effort underscores that the governorship ambition is not an individual project but a people-driven mission powered by grassroots support and collective sacrifice.
“This initiative is deliberate. It is strategic. More importantly, it is symbolic. It represents ownership. It reflects commitment,” she added.

Ijayekunle noted that the movement was not merely backing a candidate but investing in leadership and advancing a vision for a more inclusive and progressive Lagos State.
“We are not merely supporting a candidate; we are investing in leadership. We are endorsing competence. We are advancing a vision for a more inclusive, responsive and progressive Lagos,” she stated.
In addition, she assured that the process would be guided by accountability and transparency, maintaining that every contribution, regardless of size, represents a stake in the collective future of the movement.
She also disclosed that the group had put in place a robust mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 elections, including a 2,690-member campaign committee spread across 245 wards and 20 local government areas of the state.
According to her, the structure is fully operational and designed to drive grassroots engagement, coordinate voter outreach and ensure effective representation across Lagos State.
“This structure is not symbolic; it is functional. It is designed to drive grassroots engagement, coordinate voter outreach, and ensure effective representation across the state,” she said.
Ijayekunle reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, alongside its push for Jandor to secure the APC governorship ticket in Lagos.
She expressed confidence that the movement’s unity and organisation would translate into electoral success.
“Let history record that when the moment called, the JAGABAN-JANDOR 2027 Movement responded, not with hesitation, but with unity and resolve,” she said.
She added that the group remained focused on securing the party’s nomination and ultimately winning the governorship election.
“Together, we will not only secure the nomination. Together, we will mobilise for victory. And together, we will shape the future of Lagos State,” Ijayekunle said.
