The new Speaker announced the new officers on Friday, 17 January, 2025 during her first plenary session after her election on Monday, 13 January, 2025.
Honourable Temitope Adewale was named the new Majority Leader of the House. He represents Ifako-Ijaiye State Constituency I and he replaced Honourable Noheem Adams who represents Eti Osa State Constituency I.
Honourable Adedamola Richard Kasumu, who represents Ikeja State Constituency II retains his position as the Deputy Majority Leader of the House, just as Honourable David Setonji, from Badagry State Constituency II retains his position as the Chief Whip of the House.
Honourable Sanni Okanlawon, who represents Kosofe State Constituency I was named the new Deputy Chief Whip. He replaces Honourable Mojeed from Ibeju Lekki who has been elected the new Deputy Speaker of the House.
The plenary on Friday, 17 January, 2025, was attended by 37 out of the 40 lawmakers; the absentees were: Obasa himself, Honourables Nureni Akinsanya and erstwhile Majority Leader, Noheem Adams.
