All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ojo Local Government, Tolani Sule Akibu; former Managing Director of the Lagos State Soil Testing Agency, Dr Tajudeen Abiodun Afolabi; and former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Shakirudeen Sola Giwa were among the new entrants in the updated list of cabinet members submitted to the state House of Assembly by the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The new names were read on the floor of the House on Monday, 4 September, 2023 by the Clerk of the House, Barrister Olalekan Onafeko.
Fifteen names earlier rejected by the lawmakers made a return. Among them are: former Leader of the Surulere Local Government Legislative Arm, Honourable Barakat Bakare; former Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi; and ex-Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
