The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos Sports Commission has endorsed the 4th edition of 1XCup.
Speaking during the visit of the officials of the 1XCup to the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), the Director General of the LSSC, Mr. Lekan Fatodu stated that the 1xCup has, over the past three years, positioned itself an outstanding grassroots football competition through which shining talents have been discovered and they have also been provided with opportunities for greater exposure and experience outside Nigeria.
“The remarkable efforts on grassroots sports development being led by the 1xcup team and their experienced management team members like Mr. Waidi Akanni, Ms. Geraldine and the rest of the team are perfectly in line with the interventions of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to provide formidable empowerment and mentorship for growth for our teeming young population through sports. As such, this kind of impactful sporting initiative will continue to receive the endorsement of the state government as well as our unwavering support,” said Fatodu.
