#LagosDecides: Desmond Elliot Wins, Sets For Third Term In Lagos Assembly

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Desmond Elliot as the winner of the Surulere State Constituency I election.

INEC Returning Officer, Dr. O.J Fenuga made the announcement on Sunday,19 March, 2023.

Fenuga said Elliott of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 17,837 votes to defeat his closest rival Adebayo Bode of the Labour Party,( LP), who polled 7,822 votes.

According to him, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Thompson Sulaimon Abolaji, polled 1,045 votes.

Earlier, Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, had congratulated Elliot for winning the election.
