The Benin monarch thus tacitly, endored President Tinubu for a new mandate of four years.
“For somebody who is doing well, it is our prayer that he gets a renewed mandate. As he Dey pain them. He Dey sweet us,” the Monarch said sending the whole palace into claps and joy.
The Oba of Benin quoted the Bible to justify the need for President Tinubu to be left alone to continue. “Let he who is without sin , cast the first stone. … If one is doing well, Why not join hands with the President to do what he is doing well. Let President Tinubu finish the good work,” the revered Monarch said.
The Oba also stated that not everyone who contested for the office can become President.
“Convey my best wishes to Mr. President. Give my appreciation to the President receiving me and so warmly in Abuja,” he said.
