On  Friday, 18 April, 2025, a young man identified as Sheriff Salifu and a woman, Blessing Adama from Ojogobi -Ankpa were found dead together in a room at Alo in Ankpa local government of Kogi state,

An alarm raised by the deceased’s landlord, Salisu Ibrahim, drew attention to the scene where their lifeless bodies were found on the same bed.

It was said that the landlord became agitated when he noticed that the deceased’s room remained locked on Friday morning, an unusual development.

Amidst the confusion, the landlord reportedly alerted the deceased’s brother and police authorities.

Surprisingly, the brother of the deceased found Sheriff and a woman naked on the bed together, on breaking the door into his room.

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya confirmed, the incident, saying that investigation to unravel the cause of their death is in progress.

“The Divisional Police Officer in Ankpa detailed detectives to the scene where they saw the lifeless bodies of the deceased persons, took their photograph and took the bodies to the zonal hospital in Ankpa where they were confirmed dead,” Aya said.
