The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Mojisola Lasbat Meranda has reappointed Imam Ridwan Ayodeji Lawal as Senior Special Assistant on Islamic Affairs, reports thegazellenews.com
Imam Lawal also served in the same capacity in the administration of the former Speaker, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

He is a member of the Mission Board of the Lagos House of Assembly Muslim Community.
A proud Lagosian, he boasts a strong academic background, holding a degree in Political Science from Lagos State University and a Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.

Lawal is also an alumnus of the prestigious International Law Institute in Washington D.C. and has earned a certificate from the renowned University of Cambridge Judge Business School in the UK.
In addition, he graduated from Advanced Islamic Academy under the esteemed guidance of Sheikh Dr. Abdul Hakeem Abayomi.
Currently, Lawal is pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration at Lagos State University, specializing in project and product management.
With over 20 years of professional experience, his career includes pivotal roles such as Deputy Director at the Lagos State House of Assembly and Secretary to several influential House Committees, including Works and Infrastructure, Environment and Water Resources, Tourism, Information and Strategy, Judiciary and Public Petitions, and Home Affairs.
As a distinguished public servant and Islamic scholar, Lawal also serves as an Imam at the Lagos State House of Assembly Central Mosque. He is a proud member of both the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
