Former Presidential Candidate and Publisher of Ovation International magazine, Bashorun Dele Momodu, has formally resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports thegazellenews.com.
Not only that, Momodu has only announced his membership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a letter dated Thursday, 17 July, 2025, Momodu cited the hijacking of the PDP by anti-democratic forces as the reason for his decision.
In his resignation letter addressed to the PDP Ward 4 Chairman in Ihievbe, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, Momodu expressed his gratitude to the party leadership at the ward level for their support over the years.
However, he stated that the PDP’s current state made it necessary for him to leave and join the ADC.
“Our party has been unarguably hijacked by antidemocratic forces, from within and outside, in broad daylight. It is therefore honorable to abandon the carcass of the party to them while the majority of us earnestly sign up with the new coalition party known as the African Democratic Congress (ADC),” the letter said.
