The Nigerian Air Force has announced that its airstrikes neutralised numerous terrorists in Niger State,
The force said the airstrikes is part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, with the support of ground troops targeting those responsible for recent attacks.

The NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who made this disclosure through a press statement issued in Abuja on Friday, 27 June, 2025 in Abuja, said the operations, executed between June 24 and 26, 2025, were guided by reliable intelligence
According to Ejodame, NAF had, through inter-service and inter-agency cooperation, identified terrorist activities involving attacks and cattle rustling in Kakihun and Kumbashi communities.
“Swiftly deploying air assets, the Air Component executed multiple waves of precision strikes that neutralised scores of terrorists, destroyed their logistics, and disrupted regrouping efforts.
“The operation demonstrated NAF’s professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong coordination with ground forces and other agencies.
“The Nigerian Air Force remains resolutely committed to protecting the lives and property of all Nigerians and ensuring lasting peace across the country,” he said.
