A northern youth leader and staunch loyalist of President Bola Tinubu, Khamis Musa Darazo, has pledged his September salary to support the completion of the National Library project championed by the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu.

Khamis Darazo, who pledged during a Press conference on Thursday in Bauchi, described the National Library as “a symbol of Nigeria’s intellectual pride and a legacy,” pointing out that completing the library will inspire generations.
He noted that the donation appeal by the first lady reflects his belief in the transformative power of education and its potential to drive national development.

According to him, “I believe in the President’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria,” he said. “Education is the foundation of that prosperity, and the National Library will stand as a pillar for generations.”
The National Library project, initiated decades ago, has faced numerous challenges, including funding delays.
Khamis Darazo is known for his loyalty to the Tinubu family and has been an active participant in campaign efforts and advocacy for the administration’s policies.
He has also demonstrated his appreciation for President Tinubu’s initiatives, as seen in his donation of a Sallah ram to the President in appreciation of the Kolmani Oil License.
