The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has continued to work for the betterment of the people living in the Niger Delta region providing infrastructures which are very important to sustaining lives in the region.
In the last 25 years, the NDDC has touched virtually every aspect of lives when it comes to making its impact felt in the region.

For instance, in Amassoma in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, the commission engaged in the construction of a Corpers Lodge to accommodate young Nigerians posted to the area so that they will be able to carry out their national assignment without any hindrance.
The Corpers Lodge, in the words of the NDDC addressed accommodation challenges faced by members of the National Youth Services Corpse, NYSC while contributing to community development.
