The events were held at Ilogbo-Elegba town hall and Ojo Local Government Council Chamber and the central message by the leaders of the party to attendees at the event was the need to collect their PVCs and also to cast their votes for all APC candidates in the general elections.

The first event which was held at Ilogbo-Elegba town hall, leaders and members of the Campaign Council alongside with some candidates of the party, met with party leaders, ward executive members and other party faithfuls of Ward F comprising of residents of: Ilogbo-Elegba, Adaloko, Era, Ketu, Imude, Shibiri-Ekunpa, Ajewamiwa and Oto Awori towns.

Prince Musbau Ashafa, Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area, who gave the welcome address, expressed appreciation to the party members for huge turn out.

He also appealed for support for all the candidates of the party in the coming general elections.

The Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Rosulu Olusola Idowu appreciated members for turning out massively at the recent Lagos West 2 campaign rally held Thursday, 12 January, 2023.

He spoke about the collection of PVCs which is the only tool to speak with our votes. He advised members present to move to all the nooks and crannies of the zones and mobilize people to collect their PVCs which deadline has been extended to Sunday, 29 January, 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The party candidates who spoke at the event starting with Hon. ‘Lanre Ogunyemi, APC Rep Candidate for Ojo Federal Constituency represented by Apostle Adigun appealed to members to put sentiments aside and support credibility. He advised them to vote for all the candidates of the party at all levels of the elections.

Hon. Tijani Surajudeen, APC Candidate for Ojo State Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, who hails from Ilogbo-Elegba community further advised party supporters to shun the opposition who have nothing to offer.

He promised to continue more on empowerment and developmental programmes in his constituency.

Hon. Olusegun Ege,  APC Candidate for Ojo State constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly candidate, reiterated the need to continually support and vote all candidates of the party.

Princess Sarah Sosan, former Deputy Governor of Lagos State charged Ward F to prove that it is one of the largest wards in the Federal Constituency by delivering high number of votes for the party’s candidates in the coming elections.

She spoke further that this is the time to make Ojo Federal Constituency great again and bring back the good old days of Ojo majority.

At the second event with religious leaders held at the Chairman’s Council Chamber of Ojo Local Government, the Director General of the Campaign Council appreciated the religious leaders for honouring the party’s invitation.

He said the party can only win the election by carrying everyone along including the religious leaders who oversee large congregations in the various churches and mosques. He advised to continue interfacing with the government through the Nigeria Inter Religious Council which is present in every local government and LCDAs.

Furthermore, he charged them to mobilize and speak to their congregation to get their PVCs and work for the victory of APC.
