Engineer Adekunle Olayinka, the CEO of Kunle Olayinka Peace Initiative (KOPI) is a man who is passionate about touching lives positively.
He is currently seeking to get the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest for House of Representatives seat to represent Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
He is not a new entrant in Nigeria politics. He had always been active in politics, even in diaspora. He was persuaded to return home by the trio of: the National Leader of APC and presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; former Governor of Osun State and ex-Interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande; and erstwhile Lagos APC Chairman, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale. It was during a conference he organized for the party in South Africa.
Upon his return to the country, he worked at the state party secretariat for over six years working as Special Adviser and Chief of Staff to Otunba Henry Ajomale who was the state Chairman of the party then. He was later appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters and presently he is the Special Adviser on Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, DAWN to Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu.
He is not your regular politician having been armed with both corporate and political experience. As he learnt under the feet of the elders politically, the engineer turned politician also flaunt a rich resume in corporate world.
A proven telecom engineer, Olayinka started working with Siemens ICN, joined MTN Nigeria during their inception in Nigeria and had worked on NITEL account. He has also worked abroad with Ericsson international, Sweden which took him to different projects in Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Africa, East Africa, West Africa. He later became the Director, Planning and Strategy at the South African College of Business and Technology, Pretoria, South Africa. The hardworking father of three has over 24 years cognate corporate experience in telecoms engineering.
He is currently studying Public Administration for his PHD, when not working and talking politics, he loves playing table tennis.
He is a distinguished humanitarian as he is a Paul Harris Fellow of the prestigious Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International the foremost service organisations in the world established on 23rd February 1905 in Chicago, U.S.A and renowned for the writing of the United Nations Charter.
He is happily married with lovely children.
