Popular Lagos lawmaker, Honourable Taofeek Olatunde Braimah has died at the age of 59, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information, Strategy and Security died early Friday, 10 July, 2020, two months before his 60th birthday.
The Gazelle News.com learnt that the lawmaker in his sleep.
Until his death, he was the member representing Kosofe State Constituency 2 in the Assembly and Chairman of the Committee on Information, Strategy and Security. He was a second term lawmaker. In the 8th Assembly, he was first the Chairman of the Committee on Information, Strategy and Security before becoming Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights, Public Petitions, Justice and LASIEC.
Between 1999 and 2002, he was elected Chairman of Kosofe Local Government.
Popularly called Big Daddy, Braimah was very popular not only among his colleagues and politicians but also among the social circle in Lagos well noted for his jovial nature and the ability to mix and make friends with people.
As a Muslim, he is expected to be buried today, Friday, 10 July, 2020.
Tunde Braimah is survived by his wife, Yetunde, and children.
