Former Minster of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro, has gone into self isolation, The Gazelle News.com reports.
This medium learnt exclusively that the former Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana went into self isolation over a week ago after returning from a foreign trip.
The Gazelle News.com learnt that Senator Obanikoro was in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, two countries currently being ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Gazelle News.com spoke exclusively with Senator Obanikoro and he confirmed that he is on self isolation.
“Having just returned from a foreign trip, the most appropriate thing for me is to go on self isolation. This is a battle we must all join hands to fight,” Obanikoro, who represented Lagos Central Senatorial District in the Senate between 2003 and 2007 told our correspondent.
The Gazelle News.com gathered further that the former Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government is feeling fine and has not displayed any symptom of the dreaded virus.
