Nigeria recorded a new record of 1204 cases of confirmed Coronavirus Infections on Monday, 4 January, 2021, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which gave the figure on its Twitter handle, also confirmed that eight people died as a result of complications from the virus infection on same day.
The Gazelle News.com reports further that the total number of infections in Nigeria has risen to 91,351 while the number of deaths has also risen to 1,318.
On Monday, Lagos recorded the highest number of infections with 654 cases, followed by the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja with 200 confirmed cases. The least infections on Monday are from Sokoto and Osun States which recorded one confirmed case each.
