The Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development has approved the use of national stadiums to be used as isolation centres as the struggle to contain the coronavirus pandemic in the country continues.
The Gazelle News.com reports that the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare disclosed this on Friday, 27 March, 2020, through his Twitter handle.
According to the Minster, the ministry has got the approval of the President, Muhammadu Buhari for the stadiums to be used as isolation centres.
The stadiums are: MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja; the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan; Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna; and National Stadium, Lagos.
