Nigeria defender, Semi Ajayi, was the hero of the day for West Bromwich Albion as his header off a corner kick against all odds earned them a draw against Liverpool at Anfield, reports The Gazelle News.com.
It was a fitting reward for the industrious Albions after withstanding series of pressure from the defending English Premiership champions.
Liverpool scored as early as 12th minute through Sadio Mane giving hope of a goal feast but the Albion team stood firm and withstand everything Liverpool threw at them from then.
Ajayi saved the day with a towering header in the 82nd minute to earn West Bromwich Albion a deserved point.
However, the point did not change the position of the Albion team as they remained second from bottom while Liverpool extend their lead at the top to three points.
