Three centres have been shortlisted for the coming 3rd Prince GAS Under-10 Football Competition, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The centers are: Itele in Ogun state, with teams like: Royal Warriors, De Chosen F ,Ade Ade FC and Galaxy FC, Aboru, United FC, Fantastic FC, Marvelous FC, and Future Image FC.
The Igando centre will have teams like: Sharp Strikers FC, Sammy FC, ,GBN FC, Future Stars Cwebic FC and Peerless FC among others.
This year competition will be different in terms of screening, officiating and other logistics, like introduction of birth certificate.
“We are collecting birth certificates because at times players of 14 years would enter our weight which is 36 kg, while 10,11 year old would not meet up.
“A lot of argument comes up when we take this step, but I’m assuring all the participants that the screening will be handled by me, in other to avoid cheating because all the teams have equal rights. The players weight must not exceed 40kg while goalkeeper must not exceed 44kg.
“We will also provide free accommodation for teams outside Lagos State,” Sulaiman Adebola Gbadamosi, sponsor of the competition, told this medium.
