In recent weeks, it is evident that politicians in Kebbi State are apparently having a second thought of their present political fortune with a view to deciding the best option for the way forward.
According to Abdulllahi Zuru, the alignment and realignment of strategies for the journey to 2027 started, politicians of different parties and status are becoming to terms with the reality of the fact that at this stage of the much needed socio-economic transformation of Kebbi state, coupled with the remarkable achievements recorded in all sectors within within about two years of Nasir Idris administration, there is certainly the need for paradigm shift to the guaranteed option to the much needed sustainable needed development.
He noted that the realisation of the reality of the Governor’s determination and demonstrated commitment to service delivery,must have been responsible for exodus of the people from different political parties to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
While many members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state have been decamping to APC, others including the prominent remnants are believed to be in the process of also coming to terms with the reality of the fact that at this point and time, there is no alternative to Governor Nasir Idris, in the interest of the development of the state he declares.
“Continuous massive defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC) is being witnessed as the Governor continue his thank you and consultation tour of the local governments.
Now that it is glaringly clear and undoubtedly too, that Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu’s demonstrated commitment to peace, unity, and all-inclusive government, sustainable implementation of viable socio-economic development programmes are being appreciated by the beneficiaries. “
Commendations and expression of absolute confidence by all segments of the society in his ability and capacity to change the narrative of the state development.
However, in as much as the Governor and indeed the All Progressive Congress (APC)in Kebbi State continue to happily accept and comfortably accommodate whoever decided to join the party, it should clearly be understood that total support and loyalty, sincerity of purpose and demonstration of genuine interest in the development of Kebbi State remains the prerequisite for acceptance.
