Minister of Works, David Umahi, on Tuesday, 22 September, 2026 stated that no other President has done what President Bola Tinubu is doing for the people of the South-East.
Umahi said the Federal Government had undertaken projects and made appointments that demonstrated the inclusion of the South-East.
The Minister stated this while receiving a report from the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, on its tour of federal roads across Nigeria.
“No other President has done what President Tinubu has done for the South-East, whether by appointment, inclusion or projects,”Umahi said, just as he also added that the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will get fewer votes if Nigerians are well educated.
He noted that Obi can’t win the 2027 presidential election.
Umahi said: “The more we educate our people, the less votes Peter Obi will get. Peter Obi cannot win in 2027.”
Umahi also called on Igbo leaders to educate the people of the South-East on President Bola Tinubu’s achievements in the region.
He added: “It is important for the leaders of the South-East to be bold, vocal and speak to our people, the Igbos, about what President Tinubu has done and is doing for the Igbos.”
