The All Progressives Congress)APC) in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area of Lagos State marked the official kickoff of its campaign season on Friday, 27 June, 2025 with a vibrant rally that drew a mammoth crowd from all wards within the local council.
The event showcased a strong display of support for the party’s candidates, including chairmanship hopeful Hon. Seyi Jakande and his running mate for Vice Chairman, Hon. Niyi Awodogan as well as all the Councillorship candidates from the nine wards in the Council.

Party leaders and members rallied together, igniting enthusiasm among residents as they paraded through various wards, galvanizing support for the upcoming elections.

The rally was graced by prominent figures, including the member of the House of Representatives for Mushin Federal Constituency I, Hon. Taofeek Adeyemi Alli; the Apex Leader for Mushin Federal Constituencies and former Senate Minority Whip, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon; Hon Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya (OSMAK); the Onipeju of Ilupeju, HRM Korede Bisade-Phillips, and incumbent Council Chairman, Hon. Olushola Rasaq Ajala, who emphasized the importance of unity across diverse ethnic groups present, such as the Igbo and Hausa communities. Their collective presence underscored the APC’s commitment to inclusivity and solidarity as they gear up for the council elections scheduled for July 12, 2025.

All speakers at the event passionately urged residents to turn out in large numbers to cast their votes for all APC candidates, promising them the continued benefits of democracy and good governance.

Hon. Ajala, in particular, highlighted the achievements of his administration, calling for a mandate that would allow for the continuation of the progressive policies that have positively impacted the community. He encouraged the residents of Odi-Olowo-Ojuwoye to ensure a decisive victory for Hon. Jakande on election day.
The excitement peaked at the APC Mega Rally, held on Ilupeju Road, where all party candidates were officially unveiled. The rally marked a significant moment for the APC as it united supporters and candidates alike, reinforcing their collective vision for the future of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA.
