As we gather with family and friends today to celebrate the joy of this season, I wish everyone peace, love, and the warmth of God’s grace that Christmas comes with.
May we all celebrate many more of this beautiful day in renewed strength and abundant blessings
Christmas is all about joy, hope and happiness. It is about the assurance of peace, love and grace in abundance. It is about the wonderful presence of the Lord Jesus in our daily lives. His birth presents a new opportunity for us to be reassured and excited.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and he shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Ever‑lasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Jesus is peace and joy, the reason for our hope and happiness. Let us, therefore, take advantage of this season to live in the way of the Lord by loving one another and giving peace a chance in our dealings with each other. Let us respect and love each other so as to be agents of peace and prosperity.
As the heartbeat of our nation, our state stands at a pivotal moment where we all must unite and work together to save our country from the machinations of the evil doers who are trying to compromise our legacies. Let us, as good citizens, cooperate with our leaders to ensure that our nation takes back its rightful place of pride in the comity of nations. As a servant of the people, I am humbled by the resilience and spirit that define us. The coming year will be one of great significance, and it is the collective responsibility of every citizen to shape the future of our great city and country.
To every Lagosian, I say: your voice matters. Engage, stay informed, and participate in the civic processes that affect our lives. Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow for our children and the generations to come.
Let us use this Christmas season to reflect on the values that bind us, unity, service, and hope. Let us pledge to work together, hand in hand, we will transform every challenge into a stepping stone for progress.
Once again, Merry Christmas! May your festivities be joyous, your homes be filled with laughter, and may the New Year bring us peace, good health, and continued service to our people.
God bless you, God bless Lagos, and God bless Nigeria.
Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year!
Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi
