Veteran Nollywood actor, Oludotun Baiyewun Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs, will be laid to rest with a night of tributes and a funeral service in Lagos, following his death earlier this month.
Burial arrangements for the late actor were disclosed by actress Gloria Anozie Young, detailing a two-part ceremony scheduled to hold in Lagos.
A Night of Tributes will hold on Wednesday, 30 September, 2026, at 4:00pm at Glover Memorial Hall, 4 Customs Street, Marina, Lagos Island, with attendees requested to dress in shades of blue.
This will be followed by the funeral service on Friday, 2 October, 2026, at 10:00am at This Present House, Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, with a dress code of shades of green.
Jacobs, who held the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) honour, was one of Nigeria’s most celebrated actors, widely respected for his decades-long contributions to stage and film both in Nigeria and abroad.
