Hon. Olumuyiwa Jimoh has successfully undergone the All Progressives Congress screening exercise ahead of the forthcoming primary election for the Lagos State House of Assembly, strengthening his bid to represent Apapa Constituency II.


The screening exercise was conducted on Sunday, 10 May, 2026 at the APC secretariat, where Jimoh appeared alongside other aspirants before a panel made up of senior party officials.
The process was reportedly carried out in a calm and orderly atmosphere, while members of the committee were commended for demonstrating professionalism, fairness and due diligence throughout the exercise.


Although the official outcome of the screening is still being awaited, supporters of the aspirant expressed confidence that the party’s long-standing principles of fairness, equity and transparency would prevail in the final decision.
Party stakeholders described Hon. Jimoh as an experienced politician with the leadership capacity and legislative exposure required to effectively represent Apapa Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

They maintained that his credentials, political experience and record of service clearly distinguished him among other aspirants contesting for the party’s ticket in the constituency.
Furthermore, supporters of the aspirant reaffirmed their commitment to his ambition, insisting that he remains prepared to provide quality representation and responsive leadership if returned to the Assembly.

“Hon. Muyiwa stands ready to serve,” a supporter stated, adding that the lawmaker possesses the competence, grassroots connection and political experience needed to further advance the interests of the constituency.
The supporters also urged party faithful and constituents to rally behind his aspiration ahead of the primary election.
“Let’s bring Hon. Muyiwa back,” they added.
