A couple, Lukman Isiaka and his wife, Abosede Olanipekun, have been arrested by the operatives of the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly stealing children across the state and Osun states.
According to The Nation, the police have successfully recovered 10 of the allegedly stolen children.
However, some distraught parents who thronged the command’s headquarters lamented that their children were still missing.
The report revealed that the couple were allegedly using various methods to abduct the children, selling each one for N1 million to Sabina Izuorah, a 62-year-old resident of Ihiala in Anambra State.
It was gathered that the arrest of the couple followed a police investigation into the abduction of a child reported missing by her mother.
