Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and ex-Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has condoled with the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the demise of the immediate past Chairman of Ikotun-Igando Local Council Development Area, Mrs Morenike Williams and party leader in Alimoso Local Government, Pa Fayemi.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire also condoled families of the deceased persons describing their death as big losses not only to their families but also to the Progressives family and the party at large.

Both Mrs Williams popularly called Mama Willy, and Pa Fayemi, died hours after each other early Monday, 10 July, 2023. While the ex-Council boss died in London, Pa Fayemi, a leader of the party in Ward D died in Ijegun.

“Their death coming at this auspicious time of our democratic development, is saddening because the party and the country need their invaluable contributions to the development and growth of our country.

“However, we can’t blame God the Author of our lives who determines the appropriate time and period to end our journey here on earth. It is God that gives and takes. We can’t question Him,” the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) said.

She prayed God to give the deceased persons eternal rest while giving those they left behind the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
