The Osun State Government has released the first batch of successful applicants for recruitment into public primary and secondary schools across the state as part of efforts to strengthen the education sector.

The announcement was made on Friday, 6 March, 2026 in Osogbo in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi.

He said the shortlisted candidates were directed to check their names online or at designated government offices across the state.

According to the statement, the successful applicants can verify their status at the Osun State Civil Service Commission, the Osun State Ministry of Education, the Osun State Teaching Service Commission, and the headquarters of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board located in Osogbo.

Alimi further disclosed that the successful candidates would begin the collection of their letters of appointment on Monday, 9 March, 2026.

“The Osun State Government has released the names of the first batch of successful applicants for immediate recruitment into both public primary and secondary schools in the state,” the statement read.

“Accordingly, the successful applicants are to check their names online or at the government-approved designated offices such as the Osun State Civil Service Commission, Ministry of Education, Teaching Service Commission and SUBEB headquarters in Osogbo,” it added.

The Commissioner explained that the recruitment exercise forms part of the state government’s broader strategy to improve the quality of education and learning outcomes in public schools across Osun State.

He also conveyed the message of the state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who congratulated the shortlisted applicants and encouraged them to regard their appointments as an opportunity to serve the state.

“Governor Ademola Adeleke congratulates the shortlisted applicants and urges them to see the opportunity as a service to the state by contributing their best diligently and conscientiously to the growth and development of education in Osun State,” the statement said.

The Governor also expressed appreciation to all applicants who participated in the recruitment exercise, commending them for their patience and support throughout the process.

“The state government appreciates the applicants for their patience and support to the government in its efforts to reposition education in the state,” the statement added.

The government advised the successful candidates to complete all necessary documentation processes ahead of the collection of their appointment letters to ensure a smooth transition into service.
