The Chairman of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Snr. Comr. Dr Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, has distributed 300 free General Certificate of Examination (GCE) forms to students within the council, easing the financial burden of examination registration on families, reports thegazellenews.com
The gesture forms part of the chairman’s “Building Today, Securing Tomorrow” agenda, which also includes the renovation of schools and the provision of essential learning support to students across the local government.

Akinsanya explained that the initiative was designed to create a better environment for students, urging beneficiaries to remain disciplined and work hard to achieve excellent results in their examinations.
He charged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously, stressing that the intervention was targeted at easing access to quality education and encouraging academic excellence among students in the council.

Beyond the distribution of forms, the Chairman disclosed that the renovation of schools and provision of essential learning materials remain ongoing, as part of his administration’s broader commitment to strengthening the education sector within Igando-Ikotun LCDA.
The beneficiaries and their parents expressed appreciation to the Council Chairman for his efforts at uplifting the education sector in the council area.

“Comrade Akinsanya has been in the forefront of uplifting the education sector in this council. Apart from free GCE and JAMB forms, he has been putting in place befitting education infrastructure in the council,” Mrs Funke Ademola, a parent whose child was one of the beneficiaries told thegazellenews.com
