The numerical strength of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives has been reduced again as the party member named Amos Gwamna Magaji, officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), thegazellenews.com reports
Magaji, who represents Jaba/Zango Kataf Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, cited unresolved internal disputes within the PDP at both national and local levels as the reason for his departure.
His defection marks another setback for the opposition party, which has been grappling with internal divisions in recent months.
As at the time of filing this report, the opposition party is yet to officially react to the defection of the Kaduna-born politician to the ruling party.
