The former First Lady of Lagos State, Senator Fatimat Olufunke Raji Rasaki has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the All Progressives Congress, APC and Nigerians over the rulings of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on the March 2023 presidential election.

Sen. Raji Rasaki in her congratulatory message to the President, Vice President, the entire executives and members of the ruling party, APC, said that the affirmation is a validation of the mandate given to Tinubu and Shettima by the people of Nigeria.

She stressed that President Tinubu, won overwhelmingly in the presidential election and the affirmation of the trust reposed in him by Nigerians to serve them; for their development, welfare and security which will not be taken for granted.

Her words, “the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal was not surprising. President Tinubu glaringly won overwhelmingly in the March 11, 2023 general election. I expected nothing less but a victory for our amiable president. Having defeated major contestants at the polls and engaged vibrant legal team in defending the mandate at the election Tribunal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima has shown the whole world the genuinity of their mandate.

“The court’s verdict has no doubt laid to rest the unnecessary dust stirred by the oppositions over the mandate reposed on President Tinubu. I am very confident of the judiciary and thanked the jurists for sound Judgments, which has settled the controversies surrounding the victory of the APC at the poll,“ Sen. Raji Rasaki said.

She reiterated her commitment to the course of the APC, leaders of the party and the nation in order to take Nigeria to greater heights.
