Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has sacked five members of his cabinet.
No official reason has been given for their removal.

However, sources close to the government suggest that their dismissal may be linked to underperformance over the past year.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SGS), Architect Samuel Jatau, confirmed the sacking.
The affected commissioners are: Chrysanthus Dawam, Noel Nkup, Jamila Tukur, Obed Goselle, and Sule Musa, who held the portfolios of Budget and Economic Planning, Youth and Sports, Tourism and Hospitality, Science and Technology, and Commerce and Industry, respectively.
Interestingly, both Dawam and Tukur had previously faced a three-month suspension last year for undisclosed reasons.
Meanwhile, Governor Mutfwang has approved the appointment of five new commissioners to replaced the sacked ones.
They are: Sunday Alex, Bassa Local Government Area; Joyce Ramnap, Langtang South; Sylvanus Dongtoe, Shendam; Nicholas Baamlong, Qua’an Pam; and Cornelius Doeyok, Qua’an Local Government Area.
