A suspected ritualist, identified as Edu Udeme Ime, has been arrested for being in possession of human skull by the operatives of the Quick Response Squad of the Akwa-Ibom State Police command.
The state Commissioner of Police, Olatoye Durusinmi, while parading the suspect along with 268 others arrested for various offences, said Ime was arrested on 15 May, 2023.
“On 15/05/2023 at about 8:05:pm one Edu Udeme Ime of Mbak Etoi village, Uyo was arrested at Urua Ekpa Junction by the command’s Quick Response Squad for being in possession of a human skull. The suspect could not give a reasonable explanation as to why he was in possession of a human but only name the ring leader who is a ritualist,”the commissioner said.
Durusinmi said the suspect will be arraigned after investigation on his matter is concluded.
