The supporters had converged at the assembly gate at about 8am this morning but were dispersed by police officers with tear gas to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

The protesters had converged on the national assembly gate before the resumption of the plenary and hearing of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition on scheduled for today.

On Friday, 28 February, 2025, Akpoti-Uduaghan had in a live TV interview accusing the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, of maligning her in the Senate after she refused to give into his sexual advances.
