The Yobe State Police Command Public Relations Officer, the command, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the development in a statement, just as he also revealed that the robbers were killed during a gunfire exchange with police officers.Three others managed to escape with severe injuries, while the gang leader, identified as Alhaji Dadji, a native of Ngalda, was arrested. Abdulkarim disclosed that the robbers killed seven people, injured 11 others, and carted away N16.5 million during the attack, which occurred on Monday. The remains of the deceased and the injured victims have been taken to Fika General Hospital for medical attention and forensic examination. Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Garba Ahmed, ordered a full-scale investigation to track down the fleeing robbers. He also urged residents to remain calm and assist the police with useful information to aid their investigations. The police command extended condolences to the families of the victims and assured the public that efforts are underway to ensure the culprits face justice. Armed Robbers
