The Patriotism Renaissance Initiative (PRI), has applauded the giants strides and decisive steps taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in last few weeks after his inauguration.
In a statement signed by PRI, leadership, of Hafiz Sulaiman Kuku-Dawodu, National Coordinator; and Ismail Yusuf, Deputy National Coordinator; in Abuja, at thanksgiving and victory celebrations, the group said the courageous decisions by the President in the economic and security areas were in line with the campaign promises and the Renewed Hope agenda.
These tough decisions taken by President Tinubu, according to PNI, include, the removal of fuel subsidy, introduction of single exchange rate, arrests of the CBN Governor, the EFCC Chairman and appointment of new service Chiefs from geo-political zones in Nigeria, assents to Electricity, Student Loan and Data Protection Bills, deregulation of forex, prompt appointment of Chief of Staff, Secretary to Government of Nigeria and Special Advisers among other notable decisive decisions.
The group, in demonstrating its support and loyalty to the administration of the President, has volunteered a representative to work with this administration at the grassroots across the country, equally serving as the ears and feelers of the common man in the country for the government.
The declaration and emergence of President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, on the political scene, the group stated, brought flint of hope to progressives and large number of citizens as demonstrated in the outcome of the general election in 2023.
His antecedents enthused the citizens to a very large extent across all sectors of the country and ethnic divides. The election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu became a unifying force and restored hope of the hopeless citizens. It is on record that PRI took the bull by the horn and supported and campaigned vigorously for the victory of our President without the support of any politician in the country. We believe in the capacity and competence of our President to take us to the promised land.
PRI is a non- governmental organization, established in 2016 with the mission of promoting credible and exemplary leaders as panacea to national development at different level of governance in Nigeria and to work tirelessly towards restoring Nigeria to a country of pride..
The group is also set to stimulate the culture of volunteerism and patriotism on the minds of Nigerians on issues that concern national development, unite Nigerians from the present divisions along the ethnic and religious lines to achieve free, fair and credible elections, raise awareness among Nigerian electorates on the need to vote for people of impeccable characters, and support the Presidential ambition of a credible and formidable candidate.
PRI has membership spreads across at least 17 States in the country.
