A pastor was reported to have been burnt to death by a mob of mainly radical Christian youths in a community in Southern Kaduna, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com reports further that the Pastor was allegedly killed on allegations of possessing witchcraft which allegedly caused the death of his younger brother.
Pastor Dio Idon was killed by the unforgiving Christian mob in Southern Kaduna after being accused of witchcraft following the death of his brother, who had suffered a prolonged illness.
The incident occurred on Sunday, 4 January, 2026, in the Kasuwan Magani area of Kaduna State.
According to reports, members of the community accused Pastor Idon of being responsible for his brother’s death through alleged witchcraft.
The situation quickly escalated as a mob attacked him, lynched him, and burned his remains to ashes.
Until his death, the deceased was the Pastor of ECWA Ungwa Shaawa LC, Kasuwan Magani DCC, Kaduna State.
