The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON has said that her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is relentless about getting Nigeria back to greatness.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu thanked his country for the confidence and likeness they have for Nigeria and Nigerians.

“Thank you for identifying our rich culture and people,” she said.

The visit which had the CEO of a UAE Non Governmental Organisation, Al Noor Foundation in attendance was an opportunity for the First Lady to thank the NGO for all it does in Nigeria especially, its intervention in Katsina State in the last four years.

She noted that their intervention had saved many citizens from blindness.

“On behalf of the President, President Bola Tinubu, I thank you for your collaboration and efforts,” Mrs Tinubu said.

The First Lady also commended the proposal of the use of AI to further enhance their intervention in eye care.

The CEO of Al Noor Foundation, Dr Manal Taryam explained that through the provision of free cataract treatment and other eye related surgeries with the provision of eye glasses, the poverty index in Katsina dropped from 97% four years ago to 21% last year.

She explained that the same intervention is being taken to Lagos State next and the AI Noor would be deployed due to the population of Lagos state.
