Governor of Lagos, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has emphasised the potential of sports business in Lagos development and growth, reports thegazellenews.com
Speaking at a ceremony to receive the team of the National Basketball Association Africa, an affiliate of America’s National Basketball Association (NBA), the Governor stressed that Lagos has all it takes to unlock significant returns for investors in the sports business on the continent.
“Our great state, filled with talents and creative minds in different sports, is without doubt a fitting arena for investors in the sports business. In addition, we have tested hands in sports administration, the right policies and an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, fostering inclusion and shared prosperity,” he added.
Commending the state government, business mogul and Team Lead of NBA Africa, Mr. Tunde Folawiyo, expressed appreciation to the Governor for his commitment to talent development and the improvement of sports infrastructure in Lagos. He further assured that he and his partners remain dedicated to attracting more investors into sports and other critical sectors, inspired by the positive signals from the Lagos State Government. @lf_champ
