Ahead of the July 12 Local Government elections in Lagos State, the Lagos State Chairperson of Labour Party Pastor Dayo Ekong, has unveiled 26 chairmanship candidates, reports thegazellenews.com
Ekong, who confirmed the development on Saturday, 17 May, 2025 in Lagos, said the candidates emerged from primary elections held on Friday, 16 May, 2025 across 26 designated locations in the state.

According to her, the primaries were conducted in only 26 of Lagos State’s 57 councils, noting that the party would not be fielding candidates in 30 councils for strategic reasons.
