Senate President Assures Surveyors Of Support

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has assured Surveyors in the country of the readiness of the upper chamber to support the profession for more relevance.
Lawan gave the assurance on Wednesday when the League of Surveyors From the Surveyors Council of Nigeria paid him a courtesy call at the National Assembly.
Lawan who is also a Surveyor by profession that he will do anything that he could, to support the practice of the profession.
“Anything that I can do to enhance the practice of Surveying profession in Nigeria, I will do
“If it requires that we look into the legislations that will make you more world relevance, your activities and make you more visible, we will do so because we believe you have something to offer the country.
“Legislation is a continuous process. If you don’t need it today, you may possibly need it tomorrow,” Lawan told his guests.
Leader of the delegation, Femi Kasim said their mission was to remind the Senate President of their forthcoming events which include the induction of the new registered Surveyors on 27th February, induction of Lawan as a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Surveyors on 22nd April and the presentation of Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan Award to the best candidate in 2019 examinations.
