The Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming council elections for Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Hon. Seyi Jakande, has laid out his strategic vision for the council area anchored on his HEWA Agenda, reports thegazellenews.com.

The multi-faceted plan is designed to address critical local issues and enhance the quality of life for residents.

According to him, the HEWA Agenda encompasses four key pillars:

Health and Environment: Prioritizing cleanliness, wellness, and preventive care.

Education and Empowerment: Investing in schools, training, and human capital development.

Works and Security: Strengthening infrastructure and ensuring community safety.

Agriculture, Tourism, Culture & Women Empowerment: Tapping into local potential for economic and cultural resurgence.

“HEWA is more than a plan—it’s a philosophy of governance. It ensures that we govern with the people, not above them,” Jakande emphasised, highlighting the inclusive nature of his agenda.

Jakande further called attention to the vital role that grassroots engagement plays in government operations.

“Leadership is not practiced behind closed doors. Public engagement is our compass—it helps us serve better, respond quicker, and build trust with the people,” he stated, reaffirming his dedication to staying accessible to constituents.

The soft-spoken Jakande, who is the current Vice Chairman of the council, also emphasised the importance of building on past achievements while introducing fresh ideas to the community. “We will build on everything we’ve achieved,” he stated with determination. “We will introduce new ideas while preserving the ones that work.”

Jakande articulated his vision for the future, which he believes rests on the principles of loyalty, leadership, and collective progress. “My candidacy represents continuity with innovation, loyalty with leadership, and a future anchored in our collective progress. We move forward—together,” he declared, resonating with supporters looking for a compassionate and effective leader.

The candidate’s pledge to maintain a balance between the proven strategies and new initiatives reflects his understanding of the needs and aspirations of the Odiolowo-Ojuwoye community. As the election approaches, Jakande’s commitment to inclusive governance promises to resonate well with constituents eager for progress.

Jakande’s message is clear: under his leadership, the community will not only honour its past but will also embrace a brighter and more hopeful future.

In an emotional appeal to the community, Jakande expressed deep ties to Odiolowo-Ojuwoye: “This land is my home. It raised me. It taught me. And now, I seek to serve it fully. I thank the people for their unwavering support over the years and assure them that the future will only bring better.”

With the elections drawing near, Jakande’s HEWA Agenda is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the conversation around community development, encouraging residents to actively participate in building a brighter future for Odiolowo-Ojuwoye.

The campaign’s progression will place Jakande and his community-focused strategies under close scrutiny as he works to secure the chairmanship in the upcoming election.
