Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council with immediate effect, reports thegazellenews.com
However, this medium reports that the dissolution did not affect some Commissioners, Special Advisers and Director Generals who are members of the state Executive Council.

The Commissioners and Special Advisers who are no longer members of the state Executive Council have been ordered to hand over to the Permanent Secretary or the most senior civil servant in their respective MDAs.
“Governor Oyebanji thanked the affected members of the State Council and wishes them success in their future endeavours,” a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habibat Asubiaro said on Sunday, 10 August, 2025.
Thegazellenews.com reports further that those who were not affected by the dissolution are: the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services; the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security; the Commissioner for Education; the Commissioner for Works; the Commissioner for Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives; the Special Adviser, Special Education and Social Inclusion; and Special Adviser Lands, Survey and e-GIS.
The Directors-General not affected by the dissolution are: Director General of the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD); the Director General SDGs and Project Monitoring; and the Director General Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).
